Avengers with Emma Peel 1965 to 1967 who was then replaced by Tara King

Back when I was a kid, a rock and roll group called the Beatles was very hot. This group was originally from England but as a result of their crushing wave of popularity anything from England was considered cool. So the time was right in the 1960s for a show like the Avengers to appear. This show was about the adventures of 2 secret agents who worked together as a team to solve cases. There was the dapper, and always proper John Steed (Patrick Macnee) who always wore his derby, and carried his bumbershoot (umbrella) with him every where they went. He drove around in a vintage Bentley. Then there was his beautiful partner Miss Emma Peel (Diana Rigg). She had a terrific body and a beautiful face. She wore these tight cat suits all the time and she drove around in a very cool Lotus Europa sports car.

While John Steed and Emma Peel worked closely together, their relationship always remained cordial and professional. There was never any romance, but sometimes as they celebrated the end of each adventure by sharing a bottle of champagne together they were so close together one could say they were just a kiss away from each other, but the kiss never happened. I liked the show because they used some cool gadgets to accomplish their missions. I first started watching this show when it was filmed in black and white. Then as it became popular they started filming it in color. Then Emma Peel was written out of the script and replaced by a new girl named Tara King. I did not like Tara so I stopped watching the show after that.
